The Club is situated within the parkland area of Hampden Park and is
readily accessible, having car parking facilities and being surrounded by
beautiful scenery for all to enjoy.
The club was opened in 1979, and
membership now stands at over 1000, with six hundred men, and three hundred
ladies regularly bowling. In addition there are one hundred social members and
twenty juniors.
We are affiliated to the E.I.B.A, Sussex County Indoor
Bowling Association, English Women's Indoor Bowling Association and the Sussex
County Women's Bowling Association.
We have six rinks of "Greengauge",
carpet laid on a wooden floor with the highest quality lighting, and the
running surfaces are kept in immaculate condition enabling bowlers of all
standards to really enjoy their game.
Spectators are able to view the
greens from a raised area and it is there that members enjoy a fully stocked
bar, which is in constant use!
In addition the Club enjoys a large
enclosed, dining and social area and benefits from a well appointed committee
room, which other local clubs often use.
During the day the rinks are always
full of members on "booked rinks", and new members are always welcomed into
this relaxed arena of bowling.
The ladies play friendly inter club
matches with other clubs on Tuesday afternoons, the men on Wednesday, and
during the weekend, and in addition welcome touring sides and County teams
whenever the opportunity arises.
During the season the Club members bowl
in some two hundred and thirty competitive matches against other club teams and
Internal Club competitions take place in the evenings over the weekends. In
addition Men's Evening Leagues are very popular and the ladies enjoy their own
separate Leagues.
On the Social front we have cribbage on a Monday afternoon, Decoupage
classes on Monday evenings, Solo & Whist on Friday afternoons, Bingo

enjoy.
A group of ladies also have one evening a week where they take
over the dance area and practice their "Line Dancing" We also enjoy an annual
"Dinner" and coach outings are arranged from time to time. We are always
interested to hear from touring sides or other clubs seeking fixtures and
